Kopano Education Forum AUP
Guidelines and Regulations for Acceptable Use of the Kopano Education Forum
Kopano Education Forum is an inter-institutional online community of Namibian education stakeholders that serves as a support system, as well as a hub for educational innovation, inspiration and new ideas. Its main objective is to facilitate discussions and communication amongst education stakeholders. Members of the Kopano Education Forum include school teachers, regional directorate and ministry of education officials, higher education and open and distance education institutions, and non-governmental organisations.
The purpose of this policy is to outline the acceptable use of the Kopano Education Forum, sometimes in this document simply referred to as Forum. These rules are in place to protect all users of the Forum and as well as to ensure that the Forum’s good name is not brought into disrepute. Inappropriate use exposes the Forum to risks such as exposure to indecent language, use of Forum for personal business marketing, legal and moral issues. The goal of this AUP is to clarify what is acceptable and what is not so that all communications would be in line with the basic objectives of the forum. In other words, the policy is a tool to help users of the Kopano Forum to enjoy maximum benefits of the Forum and reach its objectives without hindrance.
